Question on units.

It seems Units need no maintenance. Is this true? Where can maintenance cost, currently 10%, be modded (if it's possible)?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Maintenance cost is actually 25%. It's possible to change this by going to your data folder, then the settings.txt file. Find the line that say "Empire Starting Percent Maint Cost := 25" Change the 25 to whatever % you want it to be. That should do it.

Edit: Forgot to answer your question about units not costing maintenance, no they do not cost any maintenance, Sats, Drones, and Fighters are all maintenance free.

ALL units - Weapons Platforms, Satellites, Drones, Fighters, Troops, Mines -- are maintenance free. Just to be clear. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
