Ministers build wrong way
In a system i transform the athmosphere of 5 planets.
The turn the planets stop been domed, all start building system robotoid factories. The minister in charge don't detect that have already put that order in the others planets of the system....... Is possible to MM to fix that ? |
Re: Ministers build wrong way
Yes, this is a problem in max-tech games. The AI will build one of nearly all types of system-wide facilities on all planets in a system. Complain to MM so he will fix it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Re: Ministers build wrong way
If you had the time you could mod how the ministers build.

Re: Ministers build wrong way
Not really. There's no way to control what order the AI colonizes worlds in, or even influence what types of worlds it chooses based on the total number of available worlds in the given system. It's just one planet at a time, and only mineral/organics/radioactives levels can be tested. Not planet size, not planet atmosphere, and especially not presence or absence of other planets and their relative sizes and values.
I hope the AI is usng more than this when it is doing the computations in an actual game. If only we could be given access to more of those factors. |
Re: Ministers build wrong way
You can specify min. planet size for any planet type entry ! It will make the file much bigger, but it works. Unfortunately, you can not specify atmosphere http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif
It is possible to spread out the timing for system-wide facilities by using several entries for each planet type that have different order of facilities depending on planet values and size. Of course it will never be foul-proof and requires some AI modding efforts. |
Re: Ministers build wrong way
What should work is that you make one and only one military colony in every system. Then put all the system wide acting facilities on the constructing facilities list of this colony type and delete them from all other colony types.
