Re: New PBW Game - Force of Alliance

One spot has become available for this 'Non-Gold' 'Allied Victory' game.
We are currently at round 29 and the "Tejar" Race is still in a decent position.

From the rumours that I have heard the "Tejar" Race and another race have had "Communication difficulties" and a border conflict has resulted.

It is still early enough in the conflict for a new Ruler to take over and start peace negotiations or to build their defences.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Being the former player, I dispute the "good position" -- maybe for a more experience d player than I, but not for anyone.

The problem is, the Terrans (a more-advanced, more-powerful AI race) have pushed somewhat hard on the Tejar Hegemony ... but not the folks cleansing a system of Tejar colonies even now.

As I can recall from the map, the other side of the conflict has one system in border with those Terrans. My poor Tejar had no less than FIVE systems in border with them, and only recently secured ANY sort of treaty with the Terrans at all.

I suggest only fairly experienced players apply (sorry Grazic, but better to limit the field to folks with a chance, than have a -series- of withdrawals http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif ). Obviously, I got in well over my head on this one ...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well the information I have received was slightly off then and with my Race not having a treaty with the Tejar, I can't see your score.

Good luck to MironaT who has taken over and MironaT, if you need assistance, the Great God maybe in a good mood. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

{Edit}
New information just in on the Tejar. Tejar is in 8th position with a score within 10K of 6th position. Sounds like they are not out of the running just yet.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I second this; if a better player than I can lead the Tejar to victory, or at least a much better showing ... so be it! Okay, the original, tongue-in-cheek humor concept of the Tejar is pretty well lost, but ... here is my half-formed concept:

The Tejar are a fungal-based species, evolved from a forgotten, unfinished science project left behind as the Terrans withdrew from their region of space; the Terrans are in fact "the Creators", despite Tejar misconceptions. The "Walls of Paradise" is the Ringworld in the Terran home system (walls, ringworld, think about it ...).

The Tejar holy scriptures indicate they were not the ONLY "creation" left behind, and they (mistakenly?) believe that every other species EXCEPT the Terrans, whom they meet, are in fact "siblings in creation", other Children of the Creator.

The Tejar don't KNOW they resulted from an imperfectly-sterilised-and-stored petri dish in a Terran research laboratory, however. They think they are The Chosen Ones, etc, etc, so on, and so forth.
