nope, but i liked the original earthseige/starseige games. i mean, earthsiege was cool, and then the 3d starseige game sucked, but the turn based hex grid starseige game was very good. the mech designs looked good, and the construction/customization options gave you alot of latitude.

as for the game play its self, i really liked how it took terrain features into account to determine how much of a mech or vehicle was visible and calculated cover modifiers based on that.

so how is this new web-based one?

I haven't played a game yet, but from the FAQ and Users manual this game sounds a lot like SE IV. The game is turn based, runs in your web browser and turns are processed automatically every 24 hours.

It appears (from the manual) that you can build research facilities, espionage facilities, and mine facilities. VERY similar to SE IV.

If anyone else has any information please pass it on.

traditionally, the serise has been about giant robots...

i think they called them 'Hurcs'

i will have to look over the web site and see what this one is all about.

looks like a space based ship building conquering type thing. not a single screen shot to be found though. i did come across a screenshot link on a fan page, but the screen shot page in question was PASSWORD PROTECTED. if its that big of a secret, i dont think its worth my effort. hur-umph.
