Alligiance Subverter

I am currently fighting an opponent who is using Alligiance Subverters to take many of my ships in battle. I am coming in with strong ships and in numbers, but have lost the Last couple battles mostly due to this alligiance subverter. This is interesting to me, but also agrivating as can be. What is a good strategy against it.
Thanks,
Tuchukk

Use lots of small ships, long-range weapons, and/or Master computers (subverters don't work against MCs)

Lots of fighters also help, but Yes MC works best.

Perfect thanks, Just won my first battle against him using fighters. I will try and incorporate the MC next.

Besides master computers and fighters I found drones very useful against ships with allegiance subverters. But be careful with drone carriers (as with fighter carriers): in a close range combat (after warp or with very large ship numbers) you may lose the loaded carriers to your enemy!

Hmm after all the veterans suggestions you can always try the guy with the weird stratergies. if u got really high technology (i guess you must) My suggestion wud be either Plasma Missiles which seek the fastest and bombard him from a distance or a rather strange idea, use Tachyon projection Cannons. Try and take out the shields with depletersor weapons and pray i guess lol, u can always retrofit them back after beating him. This is kinda the desperate/looney mans stratergy. Note save before trying this lol, it maybe a bad idea cos i ain't tested this
