Star Wars game on PBW
 

When I recently checked the available games on PBW, I saw a Star Wars game I wanted to join. I sent an email to Andres Lescano for permission to modify the Black Sun shipset he created, but when I went back to PBW, the Star Wars game had disappeared. I am very interested in setting up a Star Wars PBW game and I am willing to make a Star Wars map to go with the game. What I am wondering is, can I get 6-8 players dedicated to a Star Wars game? If I get enough response to this, I will create a Star Wars map and set up the PBW game. Please respond in this thread.

PS - When I say I will create a Star Wars map, I mean exactly that. I already have a map of the Star Wars Universe and would be willing to create an SEIV map to correspond to that universe. I can see the Empire, Sith Lords, Rebels, Wookies, Hutta (Black Sun Organization), Trade Federation, and Naboo all vying for supremacy on a Star Wars map. Any other Star Wars race would be a welcome edition.

You mean you finished a map, are you goin to post that file?

BTW you have permission to mod my shipsets, if you use Jabba's neutral you'll only have to rename files.

I had posted an unfinished Jedi shipset on PBW and have an unfinished Hapan shipset in the works.

the game is still there, but it is full.

But as a star wars fan I like to join another game, so count me in: as rebels perhaps.

I see enough interest to get started on the map. I will try to have it finished by the weekend. It would be nice to have a couple more shipsets for the universe, maybe Naboo and Yevethan to name a couple. Although Star Wars was mainly about the struggle between the Rebels and the Empire, I think it would be interesting to add more species and spread the war, so to speak.

Any Star Wars game has to have the Yuuzhan Vong (sp?), but whomever plays as them should be the strongest player, which rules me out. As it is, I'd love to join, but sadly have no time to do so.

IMHO, it would be best to pick an era of SW history, and use cultures/shipsets only from that time period. For instance, the Vong would have no business being in a Classic Era game, or a Prequel Era game. Similarly, the Imperial Remnant should not be in a Classic Period game, and the Rebels shouldn't be in a Prequel Era or Sith Empire era game.

Naturally, this has to be compromised to some extent, else it would be very hard to fit the Golden Age Sith into any game. (Anyone want to make a Tetan fleet shipset?) Or you could just abandon all continuity and throw the Vong together with the Sith, or the Rebels with the Naboo.

Hey, has anyone made a Chiss empire/shipset for Star Wars? Now that would be sweet.
