<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It's not clear to me which files you mean; the .gam files for every turn; or the .gam , combat replay ( .cmb ), stats, and events files (.txt ) for a single turn? Or are you the host, and need .plr and/or .emp files?

You can post an Admin Request on PBW for whichever files you need. Mention the name of the game, your empire, and the turn number(s), if applicable.

I personally only archive the Last two .zip files for PBW games I'm playing, or the Last four if I'm the game owner.

OMG... what a start...

Just started a new solo game with proportions. Large quadrant, max# AIs, players can start in same system...

I click start and the log screen says "First Contact"... with the XiChung! And what's more their homeworld is in the sector adjacent to mine!

If the game has AI bonuses, may bet would be on Xi'Chung glassing his homeworld. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Re: OMG... what a start...

Sorry, I quit the game=-( I realised shortly after posting that I had wanted to play a simultaneous game. It was low bonus. Just for the hell of it, before starting a new game, I emergency built a troop transport and a load of infantry and sent it to the homeworld on about turn 3. Got trashed - Xi had 8 weapons platforms and a defence station. D'oh!

I still got the savegame if anyone still wants to try it...

Speaking of savegames... I do have a load of old zips from the PBW server, but I didn't know whether or not the three files in a PBW zip are enough to restore the game. In fact I still don't. Are they?

Re: OMG... what a start...

They (and the player shipsets) should be enough if you are just a player, and it's a standard game. If you are the host, I'm not so sure. And of coarse, you'd need any relevant mod files...
