Portrait pictures are _very_ nice. However, I have a qualm about mini - They all are about same size, occupying as much as possible of 36x36 space. It realy produce some confusion in SE system map, for me at least. There should be some size difference between Scout and Dreadnought !
Yes, any reduction in size kills off any fine details and not many shipsets (mine are no exception) follow this rule, but it greatly improves, IMHO, shipset appeal if one can easily distinguish small ships from big without clicking on sector or mini-image in design window.

Another point: your shipset is optimized (correctly) for newstandard sizes. But most people play non-moded SE so I think it will be better if you assign most distinct ship pictures to canon sizes, even if it will interfere with newstandard progression.

Aside from the bump...

Thank you for the suggestions, I'll get to it right away.

As for the Neostandard:

What do you mean correctly optimized
and What are your suggestions to Correct the ships?

Edit: And I'll keep the other one for people that can't see very well.

I agree. There seems to be no sense of scale between the different ship sizes...perhaps make the ships a little more varied in size, both portraits and minis.

Coalition with Small ships

Coalition with No sense of scale

The small ships are for people that can see very well and want a sense of scale between the big ships and the small ships.

Fighters, scout to heavy destroyers, transports have been resized.

The no sense of scale is every picture in the shipset has been magnified to max, for maximum viewing.

Captain Kwok: I don't think the portrait pics should be resized since you're trying to look at how the ship looks.

New "scaled" ships are much better, IMHO. But I think you overdone it a little with fighters. They are way too small. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

just wondering, what is a warship, worldship, tiny transport resource station, resource ship, scout, heavy destroyers and dreads, hvy cruiser, corvette, tiny carriers, heavy baseship (2000 kt?), and barges (already saw that mentioned in a thread discussing Talisman in relation to combined arms). any help woudl be gr8.
