Hello,

Thank you for contacting the Lycos Network Abuse Department.

Because our Lycos Network free homepage services are in high demand, we
often have to remove inactive memberships from our servers to make room
for new members.

If you have not logged in to update your Angelfire or Tripod homepage
account within the past year, and your site has received less that 15
page views within the past 90 days, it is likely that your files have
been removed because your account met our criteria for inactivity.

Please note that these files have been removed permanently and
therefore, we'll be unable to restore them. However, your member name
and password for the account have been left intact. Should you decide
you would like to continue using our services, we welcome you to do so.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Sincerely,
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The complaints started the ball rolling, and when they discovered I was not a paying customer, they opted to just kill the site. Plain and simple, it came down to money.

No way in hell your site got less than fifteen page views in the Last 90 days, though.

I personally have viewed each and every page in all of the "big" SE4-oriented Shipyards, at LEAST twice apiece, within theLast FIFTEEN days. Well okay, I might have missed apage or two, somewhere. But on a multi-page site, that's easily 20-30 page views per shipyard.

Smoke and piss, that's all they're blowing at you, AT. And IMO that sucks.

That's a stock letter. I'd pick up a phone and complain

Sorry for the inconvenience my ***, they could have contacted me first, but no. They just disabled the account on a whim. I should have paid. If I was a paying customer, this would not have happened. I hate AF now.
