Phased shield question

Does the ability "Phased Shield Generation" work for facilities? (In the sense that it would give the planet phased shields.) I'm asking because there's a separate ability, "Planet - Shield Generation" or something, in addition to the regular "Shield Generation", but no "Planet - Phased Shield Generation"...

Yes. Yes it does.

P&N gives you phased planetary shields if you do enough research, and does it in exactly that way.
