Tech trading with AI

IS there anyway to make tech trading with the AI work effectivly? The inability to see what they have makes it hard I think. You could offer your brand new tech only to find out the tech you recieve you already have. So far it seems to me that tech trading is only usefull with other humans and even then leaves much to be desired.

Re: Tech trading with AI

Well, if you've seen their ships in combat, you know what weapons they have. You can also use the long range scanner. There is an intel project called tech reports, you can use it against and ally (the Praetorian and the Tolyatan will do it to you)

And multiple blind offers aren't so annoying really, it's like Christmas, you never know what you're gonna get, but hey it's free. What's irritating is stealing tech with intel that takes forever.

There is an option to request Any Tech Area, but usually that comes back with Unavailable Tech. I guess that could be made to work better.

But there are abundant reasons why trading with the A.I. is cheezy. Simply put, the A.I. needs to have some better way of accessing value of your offer.
