Please say it isn\'t so!
 

While generating a turn in proportions the game just errored out on me. Loading up the latest game/autosave failed, and the autosave from two turns ago tells me "all humans are dead, thank you for playing" when I try to generate a turn. Is this fixable?

That's new to me. You could email me your saved game files and I can see if I can get them to work.

Are you just running 1.78 and unchanged Proportions 2.4.2?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Ummmm... what was your empire doing two turns ago? Were you on the verge of extinction? Or, for instance, did you try to get an enemy to surrender to you & send the "I surrender" message instead (easy error - the political Messages aren't always intuitively obvious)?

The other thing that can happen is setting your empire to computer control and forgetting to set one of the AI players to human control (or, setting an AI back to computer control and setting your own empire to computer control at the same time). I'm sure the veteran modders have run into that problem while testing out new AIs...

Mylon sent me his turn file, and it actually refuses to load, as if it were created for an incompatible mod. I've only ever seen this error when trying to load a game using a mod with differences in say racialtraits.txt, or the wrong number of entries in one of the other files, or something. But Mylon said (I think) that he hadn't been fiddling with the mod files. So, it's a new one. I sent the turn to MM in case it uncovers a new bug and/or he can help recover the file.
