Unpopulated Planets
 
Did you know that unpopulated planets with Weapon Platforms on them only take 1 hit to destroy, regardless of the weapon used or the DR of the WPs?

They do get to fire before being destroyed (assuming that the enemy's weapons are shorter ranged).

If a ship is destroyed, it can not fire any weapons, since they no longer exist.

If the longer range weapons destroy the attacking ship does it get to fire back?
If so, I could almost justify setting a planet out there as bait with no pop on it.
