Chaging SI Units in this game

Greeting, fellow space explorers. How do I change the planet’s resource value unit from % to show kT and mT? I’m replaying this game using FyronsQuadrantMod file so I can get a bigger unique galaxy. But when I start a new game, the planet’s value only shows how much I have in percentage not in kT and mT. How can I change it from percentage to kT and mT? I’d like to know how much resource I have not what the percentage is. At first I thought it was FyronsQuadrantMod, but it was not because I started a new game without the mod and the same thing happened (value shows percentage not kT and mT). The old game that I was playing was still showing the value in kT and mT. I also upgraded the game with the updated patch from Space Empire IV’s official website. Could that have anything to do with this? Thanks for any advice.

Well, as I understand it. The kt or mt appear because you set that game up for finite resources, and the kt is how much you can extract before the well runs dry.

The percentage appears for an infinite resources game. Planets are still better or worse for resources, but whatever you extract is unlimited.

AFAIK, these settings are independant of any mods.

The AI doesn't survive very well in finite resources, it doesn't plan ahead that far.

I must try it some time with high AI bonus to see if it can survive at all.

"I’d like to know how much resource I have not what the percentage is."

You don't get to- not in that game. There are two different resourse types that can be selected a the begining of the game: finite and infinite.

Infinite gives you the percent value; kT and mT aren't relevent because you'll never run out.

Finite gives you the values in kT and mT.

You literally have an infinite amount of resources, and will never run out, as the others have said.

Besides, those planetary value percentages are already in SI http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

They're just unitless numbers, something like Planetary Mineral PPB / Ratings-standard Mineral PPB

The bottom is the amount of minerals in the soil when the Galactic Facility Ratings Commission tests facilities to determine the number shown in the facility description. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Okay, thanks fellow space travelers. I got it now. I'm replaying the game in infinite resource mode using FryonQuadrantMod file.

FQM is a rather good mod, if I do say so myself. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Try combining it with other mods, as per the instructions in the Readme. You can enhance any mod that way.
