Shields
One of the things I liked about MOO2 was the Antaran technology especially the Reflector Shields.
Is there a way to mod a shield component so that it takes some of the energy and reflects it back to the assailant? How about shields that absorb power and direct part of it to re-supplying the ship? the only thing close, is crystal armor which absorbs damage and adds it to shields.

Would it be possible to mod shields to have a weapon capacity. Very short range, high reload, or something like that. But then they'd work even if you were'nt hit. Hmm... maybe MM could add an ability like shield regeneration to shields. They could attack back slightly whenever hit.

What is moddable is armor that would act as PD weapon, auto-shooting any incoming CRAFT. Can be explained by concentrated reflection of the starlight, or perharps ships' engine power or even shields... make that shield-only too if the later.

Sorry for going a little off topic, but I have a Phased shields question...
Do phased shields work against anything other than phased weapons (PPBs)? Will all other weapons bypass them totally? More specifically, will they stop boarding parties? I would think shield depleters work against both types of shields, is this correct? |

Phased shields work against everything except Null-Space Cannons and the Temporal weapon that is like NSCs.
Shield depleters function identically against either type of shielding. |
