Colonizing moons

I think I'm just about past all the newbie questions, but I have to ask. Is the only way to colonize moons to go into the colonies menu and do it from there? If I try to colonize through a ship order, I can only select a planet but not its moons. Is that right, or am I just dense? BTW, I finished another great game of SE4 yesterday, it just keeps getting better!

You can colonize the moons by clicking on the main planet. If the main planet has moons, another window will pop up showing all planets & moons in the sector and you can select the one you want.
