Message to All PBW Users
 

In the process of doing a server update i made a minor mistake in the implementation of the update which has resulted in alot of reminder emails being sent to Users about turns they have yet to play

Some people still to submit turns from one of their games may have received extra reminder Messages before i stopped the reminder spam.

My apologies for the mailbox inconvenience, and the error will be rectified shortly

Pardon my ignorance, but is there a connection between the 500 error I'm getting? Not a nag to fix things (maybe just a tiny bit http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif ). Just wondering when I can upload my first turn of 2003.

The 500 error that you are getting is due to me taking the PBW server offline pending a fix of this email problem

I had hoped that reverting to the server code that had been operating prior to the latest update would fix this problem, however it seems that the reminder emails were being sent even when using the server code that had been running previously.

Therefore i have taken the PBW server offline temporarily until it is determined why the server is acting this way, it should be back in action by monday hopefully

Auto turn execution will not kick in during this time and because many Users will be unable to post their turns for any turns they have due we will leave auto turn execution off for a little while after the server is back so that players are not unneccesarily disadvantaged by the server hiccups
