SE4 Gold question
 

Hi, there are apparantly 200megs of user mods bundled with this game. By any chance, are any of these mods Star Trek related?

i dont THINK so, but i could be wrong. i believe that copyright issues prevented those from being bundled on the CD.

However there are at least two very well done Trek mods that you can download from the web. Atrocities has done one of them, and the other one was... umm.. Captain Kwok? maybe? I believe that there are a couple more as well, from days gone by. I dont play the trek mods much myslef, but they do look very well done. There are also more startrek and starwars shipsets out there than you can shake a stick at. some of the shipsets come with mods, some are mod-independant.

There is also a big crossover mod (did that thing ever get done?) that pitches startrek against starwars against battlestar, and a couple other things.

There are also several Star Trek races in the patch to bring the TDM-ModPack up to v3.20. (The Gold CD has v3.0.)

They are there, but with different names and pictures so Paramont didn't sue. Never installed them from the CD myself, I waited to download.
