Evade orders

If there is a pursue order... why isn't there an evade order? Instead you have to guess which way he won't go and go there :-(

If you think about it there isn't really a need for an evade order. If the other guy is persuing you, he's gonna change course to match yours anyway. Simply set a course away from him and hope he isn't faster then you. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Re: Evade orders

lol ed, no evade order because its moot...

go wherever you want, a pursue order will follow... you cannot outguess an attack order

you can only outrun

ie, manually move AWAY from the fleet you're trying to avoid ;p

Re: Evade orders

The only way you'd need an evade order is if you weren't sure that he was chasing you and you just wanted to make sure you didn't end up in the same sector by accident if he happened to be going the same way. But your ships will avoid that anyway by defualt. They will dance around his ship instead of moving into the sector, unless you give them the atack order. Exception being if you come through a warp point and he is sitting there. But there wouldn't be any way to avoid that anyway.
