Why can\'t carriers be mothballed?
I've tried repeatedly to mothball a fighter carrier (Small carrier 27 fighters) in a PBW game but nothing happens.
Why? What to do? |

Not sure,
Are you allowed to mothball a ship with units abord? |

Proud of meself Just pay the maintenence cost and sleep the unit. That should be better in the case of a stealth/cloaked attack anyway. [ January 28, 2003, 17:18: Message edited by: couslee ] |

Some side questions, too lazy to test it out: -Mothballed ships at a training facility cannot increase combat values, right? I am always wondering about that, but if this would be the case then it would not be realistic. -If I mothball spaceyard stations with a slow build rate, does the remaining time decrease whilst it is mothballed? |

Re: Why can\'t carriers be mothballed?
Besides not being able to mothball a ship that's carrying cargo, you also can't retrofit one that's carrying cargo, either.
I don't think you can analyze or scrap it, as well. |
