PBW Message for all current and future Tesco Run Games

I am starting a new rule in all my games.

If a player withdraws from a game that I am running without letting me know ahead of time I am going to black list that player from all future games. Until they can prove to me that their reliable or explain what happened.

This is due to players dropping out without warning and delaying games and having no respect to the other players.

Right now there is no one on this list as mostly everyone has always mentioned in email why they cannot play etc....

I have seen this happen in other games and it can ruin a game or ruin a game so it does not start.

Alot of effort is put into running and playing a game.

Respect and courtisty by the game owner and players is a must for a good game and repeatable good games.

This list will be available for viewing and people who are placed on the list will be informed via email.

Thank you.

Honestly I think this is going to be an uneccesary list. My experience is that the players that leave games with no explanation also leave PBW period. So likely they will either have some explanation for you, or they wont be around to try and join a game in the future anyway.

Just my .02.

A other possibility would be a player site in wich all players of seiv could get listed and when they play a game antil to finish they could get for example 5 points/an GM could get 10/and an replacement player maybe 6 points in that way
everyone who is an reliable player would be known to all others.
The points should not indicate how good or bad someone plays but thay should just be there so that it would be more harder for some others to join a game than to withdraw without reason and then sign up under a other name at seiv and then to harm the effort and fun of an other game and its players.
Of course when some one is new to seiv then who GM would chose him in his game without points ?Well a newcomer could get by sign up at seiv 5 points for example so that he also have a change to be selected for an game.

But unfortunaly to maintain something like that would be shurly to much work I guess.
I personaly try to keep the names of players who without reason drop away from my game and so i will not select tham should I start a new game but who hinders tham to sign up with a other name. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

We talked about it some, but could never decide on a good system that was fair and not too complicated. And it's jsut really a tough thing. Nobody wants to be someone else's judge. We want PBW to be just the machine that runs the games and stays out of the politics and rating people and stuff. We have enough to do answering questions and what not that having to mediate disagrements over Ratings would be no fun. Some totally impartial raw numbers would be ok, but we couldn't come up with a system we were happy with that didn't require a ton of code changes and lots of extra work for the game owners or the PBW admins.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Ah well, maybe some day. I'd be perfectly satisfied with the raw numbers -- mean # of hours between turns.

It could be a selling point -- let's see according to the the list this here Arkcon guy has no life, definitely let him join. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
