In this update I have again focussed on the DesignCreation and Research files of my AI, but, have also done some tweaking on the AI_Construction_Vehicles file in order to further enhance expansion and benefits from Mine technology.

DesignCreation.txt:
I have increased the number of ship types so that weapons payload is optimised.

Research.txt:
The Research tree has been tweaked in the early stages of the game a little (Missile 3 deleted and Combat Sensors and ECM advanced a bit).

AI_Construction_Vehicles.txt:
Coloniser construction increased slightly and Mines and Minelayers advanced in the queues a bit to ensure their use.

TechArea.txt and Components.txt files:
The Borg require the included TechArea.txt and Components.txt files to be placed into your data directory, or alternately, for the Borg Technology entry (in the TechArea file) and the various Borg components (in the Components file) to be copied into your existing files.

I dont believe so - I'm not familiar with the AST mod..

No, it is not the same AI that is in the AST mod. GE's AI is for standard SEIV game play with the Borg. His AI, if installed correctly by the player, gives the Borg a more Borg playing style.

The AST Mod AI will NOT work in standard SEIV. However, if you wanted to make it work, you have my ok to take the files and make them standard SEIV friendly as GE has done for the Borg Variant.

I am in the process of updating all of the NASY ship sets, including older ones, so that they are all, if possible, 24 bit color, and have the latest AI. This is something on the order of 25 races, both Star Trek and Non Trek.

When the latest Version of the Borg are released, they will have both standard AI, and God Emperors Variant AI. That is if he doesn't mind?

You are most welcome to also incorporate these latest AI files!

General:
I'm not sure how many other people use this Borg AI, but, I enjoy them, and cant help tinker around with them when I review my modpack AI files.
As a couple of others have commented, the Borg variant cant be compared to other races as the special components they have do make them especially powerful - but hey, they are the Borg arent they! - and I like slugging it out with them at games end...
