Proportions Prob
 

I am running 2.5.3 date 2456.7 and when I try to drop troops on a planet I gat a Devide by zero error I have tryed to beat on it then drop em and I finally resort to glassing the place...Is there a way to fix fhis? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

There was a similar problem I think two SE4G patches ago, but I thought it was fixed (and I think it was numeric overflow, not DBZ), and have seen many ground combats without problem since then. Are you using the latest patch?

Maybe email me the saved game file so I can see if it happens on my system. If it does, I guess the thing is to send to MM.

If you want to try work-arounds, I'd look at the troop types involved and see if you have anything that isn't usually used in the earlier stages of the game. Maybe something high-tech is causing a problem we haven't seen before, since your game is so advanced. We could try transferring or jettisoning various troop equipment to see if that removes the problem.

Troops were small troop w/3GC3's no armor or sheilds, as I said I just glassed the place after trying to take it 3X it has happened in more than 1 system and I do not have a save game before it now. yes latest patch also.

May be you droping too many troops ? Summary damage rating may be too high and cause RCE.

Yeah, but only if it was really RCE and not DBZ like he said, and the RCE I think was fixed.

Send the "Game" file or what one..there are 3 with the name of the game just different endings I will give it a go when I get home again
