Research Mines, and then you can build Mine Sweeper components. Make some ships with a lot of sweeper components on them, and send them with your attack ships.

Generally, it is a better idea to include your question in the body of your post, not the thread title.

Better yet, get someone else to declare war on the minefield's owner and then convince them to send a fleet through that sector. That will clear the mines for you, and you can sail through unharmed http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

The "comms mimic" intel option is good for this kind of shameless backstabbing.

Too bad you can't put custom Messages in Comms Mimic... in MP you can always tell when it's a Comms Mimic because you get a stock AI message!

The comms mimic? I have never tried it. Hmm, i'll try that backstabbing stuff once, sounds nice.
