Forum Help
Is there anyway to set the Forum so that when I click on a thread I can read the original post without having to scroll down to find it ?.

Re: Forum Help
The only way is to press the "printer-friendly" on the bottom of the page each time you enter.
But as most people has found out this way it is organized is a stroke of genious. Most threads become long and if you've read the original post once you don't have to do it again the next time you enter. See this thread for more info: http://www.shrapnelgames.com/cgi-bin...;f=23;t=008412 [ March 08, 2003, 17:23: Message edited by: Ruatha ] |

Re: Forum Help
there is no question the current forum organisation is superior to "normal" post listing. But it does not matter. You simply can not swimm against the strong tide of lazy programming http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Re: Forum Help
You call having to start reading a page from the bottom superior?

Re: Forum Help
It is better in some ways and worse in others. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Re: Forum Help
What would be nice if the Messages on each page could be read in sequence from the top down. The Printer Friendly vew is ok if
You have a fast connection You don't mind the inconvienance. I'm lazy If it is available in Printer Friendly mode, why not in "standard" mode? For me it falls into the "nice to have" catagory. |
Re: Forum Help
This method is the best in my opinion. I have been to literaly hundreds of forums over the 8 years I have been posting, and this lay out is by far the best. I like the original being on the bottom. It can be a little hard to get used to, but the same thing was said about wheel mouses, and how many of you can live without that mouse now? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
