Creating stars
Is there any way to create a star in a system when there is already one?
|
Re: Creating stars
I mean editing something of the game to make it possible.

Re: Creating stars
No, it is impossible. One of the reason is crystalline races can build multiple suns in the system and overproduce anybody using solar plants.
Another reason is "realism" - when star is created, it uses all available matter in the system. Nothing is left for another. Existence of binary systems can be explain that they were creted practically simultaneously, splitting the matter. |
Re: Creating stars
Too bad you can't turn nebulas into stars - that's how they form in real life, after all... make those nebula systems useful for something other than stealth bases! (then again, where would you get the planets?)

Re: Creating stars
well you can destroy the nebulae and create a star there... but if you're there it'd be more efficient to just make a shortcut via warp-point opener.

Re: Creating stars
it'd be most cool if nebulae systems would in fact have something hidden under them. i think that was one of the original feature promises/requests.

Re: Creating stars
There used to be a bug where you could get planets in a nebula... that was cool, especially if your homeworld was there! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif

Re: Creating stars
I see. So I can't create more than 100 stars to make the biggest colony in sphereworlds. Too bad.

You can also create storms on top of your existing planets during play. PvK |

And IIRC once you create a shpereworld, the star ceases to exist http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif so then you can make a new one http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif |
