Normal AI behavior?

Is it normal for the AI opponents to cancel a trade or alliance for no reason at all? The previous turn their mood was nothing bad or 'cool'.

Just curious....

I think it is normal for the AI to engage in all sorts of wierd behaviour diplomacywise. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

Edit: Also if you happen to get far enough ahead in the game the AI's will declare you 'mega evil' and declare war on you.

AIs are generaly annoyed by your presence in their systems (or the systems they claim for them), by colonies settled in their systems.

They are quite unpredictable in terms of treaty. Don't be suprised if a AI refuse a treaty one turn, and then propose the same treaty to you the folowing turn.

Most of the TDM-races will refuse any kind of trading (technologies and such). Some of them will only agree to trade alliances.
Stock AIs are quite vulnerable (or stupid) regarding trades and most of them are open for any kind of alliance.
