Too many facilities

What happens if I have more facilities on a planet then there is room for. If I have 20 facilitiies and enemy sabotage reduces the planets number of facility slots to 19, there are still 20 facilities there. Does one no longer function and if so how is it decided which one stops working? If one facility does stop working will I get the resources for scrapping it? Thanks.

Um, I can only assume that you would have more facilities on a planet than allowable is if an Empire that had advanced storage techniques surrendered to you or you took one of his planets.

If that is the case and the AI intel destroys one of those facilities, it is lost.

If you have 19 facilities, but have slots for 20, then you can rebuild the destroyed facility or add build a differnt one in that slot.

I hope this helps.

All of the excess facilities will continue to function as normal (same with excess cargo). You just won't be able to replace one if you scrap it or it gets destroyed.

Hmm, sabotage that destroys facility slots... interesting idea for SE5!

That would be way too unbalancing ed, imagine it they could reduce your homeworld to a 5 facility planet in turns, then again it depends what the intelligence is like in seV, it might work if it's different and balnced, but i still think this would be a bad idea unless it was really highly priced! or cost a percentage of your intelligence points like, that would be cool maybe http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

IMO there are plenty considering the scale (ship sizes, costs, etc.) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif However, one of the great things about this game is that you can make as many as you want - up to the technical limits of the game which offhand I don't know. I would guess 255 but I'm sure there is someone here that knows the answer....
