Error Messages in Devnull when using map from Fyrons Standard QM

Help?

I had read that the maps generated by the Standard Version should be usable in other mods.

Most mods... Devnull must have an altered planetsize.txt or sectortypes.txt.
Try matching up those two files, and see if it works.

Thanks for the help.

I think I have a new issue.

I renamed the 2 files in the DevNull directory and then copied the two files from the Standard QM directoy.

Now I can use the maps, but the resources listed for a planet are 5 digits. For there is 54675, 54678, 23354 of resources for a planet , for example. And all planets have such huge reserves.

I should add that the map is a Huge, Dense, Cluster with Finite resorces.

I know you can get cluster maps in DevNull, but I wanted a really dense and large map and thus I need to use the FQM standard.

Those are your "finite resources" and will be used up to 0. The display is different from the percentages shown in an "infinite resources" game.

Slick.

yes, standard FQM and Devnull Mod are not compatible. That is why the FQM maps were incorporated into the DNM. If you use the current Version of DNM (1.70, link is in my sig), you should be able to create the maps in the game setup of DNM itself. If you want a truly large map, maybe raising the number of systems in the settings of DNM will help. It is currently 150, you can set that as high as 255.

Hope that helps,
Rollo

FQM STD works with most mods. Devnull is the one that it doesn't work with. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Rollo, you may need to update Devnull to use a newer Version of FQM.

Thanks Rollo.

I will give that a try.

That was exactly why I was trying to use the Standard FQM, the one's in DevNull don't produce the really big, dense clusters that I wanted to try out.

Thanks again
