Mines in Demo Version
 

Can you get mines in the demo Version of SEIV-Gold? I have just finished researching the Construction tech which is supposed to give you fighters, drones and mine, but I do not see these anywhere.

How do mines work? Are they units that you create and put into cargo? Is there a special mine layer component that you add into a ship? I don't see any of this in the demo after I research the Construction tech. And I don't see any other techs on the tech tree that refer to mines, fighters or drones.

Researching construction only gives you the tech areas for mines, fighters, troops, etc.

You will have to research mines then you will get access to mines and mine warheads, plus mine layers in which you'll need for launching your mines. You design a mine just like any other unit and they are treated like cargo.
