YASQ
Yet Another Stupid Question....
I am at war with another AI empire. How do I ask for a peace treaty? Is Non-agression it? Thanks |
Re: YASQ
Non aggression will do it.

Re: YASQ
unfortunately they may not accept. especially if you keep defending yourself from attacks by them. you may have to bribe them or let them destroy some of your stuff b4 they will accept. peace can be a real pain in the A$$ sometimes.

Re: YASQ
Mines are a good way to do that. IIRC, they don't blame you for their ships running into your mines, and will eventually calm down over the whole war thing.
BTW: You didn't declare war on them, did you? If they declared on you, then they may reconsider in a reasonable time. If you declared war, they won't trust you for about 50 years. |
Re: YASQ
They declared it on me. I have tried gifts and tributes (I need to read what the diff is there) as well as propose non-agression. I guess they just are not ready for peace yet. Just makes a problem for me as I have two fronts resulting from two seperate wars going on.

Re: YASQ
do you have the ability to close wormholes yet? that is one way to stop wars.

Re: YASQ
thats 50 turns... not 50 years... which would be 500 turns http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Re: YASQ
For default AI's, there is no difference between gifts and tributes.
Slick. |
Re: YASQ
Useful information. Yet another proof that the only stupid question is an unasked one.
Now, let's see if I can use this information to get President Sheridan's carriers off my back... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif |
Re: YASQ
The one thing that must be fixed for SE V is the GD diplomacy and Political engine for the game. I hate to say it, but the current way diplomacy and political operations are handled by the AI is weak.
