Stupid Newbie Host Question

I'm hosting a proportions game on PBW. The problem that i am having is when I try to start the game using the PBW java client I get the error "Data files currently being used do not match the data files used when this game was started".

Now if I launch proportions using the mod launcher, then shut down se4 and then use the pbw utility, it starts fine.

Is this normal when playing a modon PBW? Or have I done somthing wrong in the setup.

We are using proportions 2.5.3.1 BTW.

Re: Stupid Newbie Host Question

Did you choose the correct mod on PBW when creating the game? If not, post a request in the Admin Requests forum on PBW to get the game changed to the correct mod Version.

On looking, fryon it appears that you are correct, the highest mod I can get on the pbw is v1.84 + Proportions Mod 2.5.2.2. We are running 2.5.3.1.

About how long does it usuall take for the requests to be met?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">If I am not mistaken to use the RTC you have to use the modlauncher, let the launcher open the game, then close it. Then use the RTC to do your turns. This is to change the path.txt to the mod so that the data files will match. This is what I've seen anyways. And it is how I have to do it with my modded games on PBW.
Hope that helps.

CaptRR:
It depends on how busy the PBW admins are. Just make a request to get that Version set up on PBW.
