Need AI recommendations))
 

Hello--new guy here--love this game))-- I have 3 shipsets with outdated AI--and want to upgrade them--I know how to(copy -paste -rename)--but wanted a reccomendation on what to use. I need 1 defensive AI and 2 aggresive AI's--what is good for me to cut and paste to make my shipsets usable))--thanks.

Hmmm, I don't know about best defensive AI's. Never took notice of AI's that mainly defend.

As for aggressive AI's, my favorite is the Rage.
The Jraenar and the Red Gauntlets are also aggressive.

Well there is an AI death match going on right now. Here is the races that made the top 8:

Space Vikings (no racial tech)
Tessellate (crys/rel)
Pyrochette (temp)
Narn Regime (rel)
CueCappa (psy)
United Flora (org/rel)
Toron (psy)
Aquilaeian (org)

All of them use racial tech except the Vikings. Not sure if you look for racial tech or not. If you look for other races without racial tech, I think it is safe to recommend the EEE and Earth Alliance. Those two are also somewhat peaceful.

If you browse through the AI Death Match thread, I am sure you will find a lot of other races that might be what you are looking for. Keep in mind that participation in that match, meant the race had to be nominated/recommended by someone. So they are all not bad.

I have found the Klingons make great neigbors but don't piss them off. As nice neighbors what is theirs is theirs and what is yours is yours. Piss them off and what is theirs is theirs and what is yours will become theirs or get glassed.

Thanks for the advice--am playing around with different AI's now--takes a while--but fun--heh.
