PBW and Cloaking

I'm curious how simoltaneous combat and cloaking works, being that it is done automatically?

Do I need to first need to manually uncloak my ship before I give it orders to attack, or can I just give it orders to attack and when it is in the same sector as the enemy it will automatically uncloak and then attack?

Re: PBW and Cloaking

You must decloak! A fully cloaked and undetected fleet cannot attack or be attacked. Just leave one (or all) of your auxilliary ships uncloaked then the whole fleet can attack.

In one game (v. 1.49) an enemy set up over one of my homeworlds, decloaked one ship and slagged the planet. He then recloaked and headed for a second homeworld. I hastily launched all the mines on the planet. (I was guessing that was where he was going next). There weren't enough mines; his sweepers could sweep them all, but hey, what could I do?

His fleet was destroyed!! Sweepers can't do their job when cloaked!
