In other words, which race will not pitch errors in 1.84?

This doesn't really answer your question directly, but it does relate. I had several races which were not 1.84-compatible--mostly missing lines in ???_AI_Settings.txt. I have a MP game which for which for some reason or other I am missing a shipset (I have a ways to go before I catch up to Fyron). The game conveniently brought up the errors in every race I have installed, permitting me to copy the missing lines from the nearest Abbidon directory and paste them where necessary.

Look at the Race Dir on SOTAS (link pending). Most races there are gold compatible. The ones linked in SGIF old section are not, and some (not all) that are linked to on PBW file section, are for pre-gold, but they can be converted to work with gold in no time flat with the instructions in CapnQ's sig.
