Better sensor/cloak relation?
Hello,
I just had a quick question about cloaking. Are there any mods that make a better relation between cloaking and sensors. For example, a cloak that is based on gravity that can bend light, nullifing the optical sensors, but still rendering the ship visable to the psy. temp. and grav sensors. I just wanted to know if people have added more depth to cloaking. Thanks! Scrytub Ka'Lorrith |
Re: Better sensor/cloak relation?
Pirates & Nomads PBW (Humans-only Versions) have the cloaking techs split up.
Gravitational cloaking is 100% dependent on the mass of your ship. Scanners are rated as being able to detect "masses of 400kt or greater", and such. Passive scans get blocked by Stealth Armor Active scans get blocked by Scattering Armor Psychic scans get blocked by Master Computers (no consious crew), and low level scans by organic armor. Temporal scanners are blocked by tachyon related systems. The top scanners will be defeated by the above items! There are also cloaking devices to provide low-grade protection against all the cloaking types (except gravity), but the top level scanners will see through it. The sensors are also given a wide variety of sizes and costs... Level 3 grav sensors, which can see anything bigger than a frigate, cost horrific amounts of resources, and can only be mounted on starbases due to their size. |
