Russian roulette PBW

So I'm in an odd mood, and thinking of PBW games..when a really twisted idea comes to me. Take a normal PBW game, Last man standing- with one minor twist. Every X (ten?) turns, the players are randomly re-assigned to new empires.

Do you press the attack and try to finish him, knowing you could get switched to the dying empire? Do you try to rebuild, or just surive, hoping to be put into a better position? More, would anyone actually -play- a game like this? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

This could be interesting... So instead of my being worried about what other people are doing, everyone would worry about the suicidal empire i'd be building...natch!

Count me in.

That's enough for a KOTH style game..I won't be playing since I'll be doing the empire-shuffling. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Might stick a few TDM AIs in for flavor- see if you can do better than them when you're bouncing around like crazy.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Actually, if I could play PBW - which I can't, because I have non-Gold SEIV http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif - I'd set the game up a bit differently, to spice things up a bit.
I suggest you have an equal number of AI players and Human players...after every 10 turns, (assuming this is possible...I doubt it is), All Human players get reassigned to a random AI Empire, and all AI Empires get reassigned to a random Human Empire http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

But that's not all. The Galaxy would be divided into two parts - North and South, East and West, whatever. These two 'sides' of the Galaxy should only be connected by two 'Bridges' - Galaxies with Black Holes that move ships 3 (maybe even 4) spaces towards the deadly center per turn. In doing so, you make traveling between both sides of the Galaxy very difficult - at least until someone develops Quantum Resonators http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif
