FAMILY/RELATIONSHIPS

SCI-FI
Sf++++ I have modded SEIV to simulate my favorite Sci-Fi universe as accurately as possible. I want to be Darth Vader/Captain Kirk-Picard-Janeway/President Sheridan. Check out my website for details.
Sf+++ I have spent hours trawling scifi websites to find images for my favorite shipsets.
Sf++ I like to play a Star Trek/Star Wars/B5 mod.
Sf+ I like to use Star Trek/Star Wars/B5 shipsets on the regular Version.
Sf Not bothered. I'll use a sci-fi shipset only if the AI is good.
Sf- I avoid sci-fi mods and shipsets if I can; I find that they can restrict my roleplaying,
Sf-- Sci-fi mods are so boring. I prefer original, imaginative stuff.
Sf--- I hate sciffy geeks! In fact, I'm not sure why I'm playing SEIV at all.
Sf* Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to destoy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force.

AI
Ai+++ The SEIV AI is a work of genius. With TDM and a few bonuses it provides all the challenge you could want. What's more, it keeps getting better.
Ai++ The ability to mod the AI makes SEIV one of the best games in the genre.
Ai+ The AI provides me with an interesting and challenging game.
Ai The AI is good enough, but you really need to be playing against humans.
Ai- The AI has potential, but it still needs some work.
Ai-- Are you kidding? My dog can play better than the AI.
Ai--- Are you kidding? My dog could code a better AI.
Ai* I am an AI. Your growth is astonishing.
Ai** I am a TDM AI. Prepare for annihilation.

Au- I'm still playing SEIV classic because I can't afford SEIV Gold right now, but I hope to get it.
Au-- I'm still playing SEIV classic because I refuse to pay for Gold; I think it's a rip-off.

AuA I got the SEIV Gold manual autographed by Aaron!
AuO I have SEIV Gold and refused the rebate because I couldn't bear to part with my SEIV classic disc.

MODDING
M+++ I maintain a major modpack(s) which addresses issues of game balance, AI behavior, and scientific realism. I spend hours tweaking the damage/tonnage ratios in order to introduce new weapons, tech trees, and research strategies.
M++ I do quite a bit of modding, but I don't go overboard with it.
M+ I've tweaked the data/picture files to put in some changes I wanted.
M I download and use other people's mods, but I can't be bothered to do one of my own.
M- I dont mod the game to suit me, I mod myself to the game.
M-- I can't keep up with all these mods! I'll stick to basic SEIV, just like Aaron intended.

S+++ I crank out shipsets in my sleep. I have numerous 3D modelling programs to get just the right effect for my ships.

S I haven't done a shipset yet, but I'd like to.
S- I may do a shipset if I get a better computer.
S-- I just can't work up enough creative juice to do a good shipset.
S--- Are you kidding? I flunked art in kindergarten.
S---- Shipsets? Wuzza shipset?
S@ I tweak the BMP files on existing shipsets to make changes I want.
S? You mean you can get more races besides the 20 this comes with?

Ss++++ I want every shipset ever made. I troll PBW, SGIF and State of the Art Spaceyards regularly looking for new sets. I bought a new hard drive just to accomodate them all.
Ss+++ I have over 100 custom shipsets on my hard drive.

Ss+ I have over 50 custom shipsets on my hard drive.

Fq+++ At any given time I will have several PBW games going on, a few AI test games, and maybe a game against the basic AI when I need a break. Sleep deprivation is starting to make me look like a Phong.

ROLEPLAYING
Rp+++ I have worked out all the details of my race's biology, psychology, history, technology, sociology and cartography. All this is recorded on my website, which I update every time a major event happens in my campaign.
Rp++ I always play the same race with a commissioned or homemade race style. I stay in character throughout.
Rp+ I sometimes get into character in multiplayer games, but it's no big deal.
Rp I've never tried roleplaying, but I might one day.
Rp- C'mon guys, it's only a game.
Rp-- Roleplayers are sad and embarassing.
Rp? Roleplaying? My therapist tried to get me to do that once...

GENOCIDE QUOTIENT
G++++ This universe isn't big enough for all of us. All other sentient species must die. And if I can't accomplish that, I'll blow up some of my own planets just to keep in practice.
G+++ I may permit you to live as long as you are useful or amusing. Otherwise, you shall be exterminated.
G++ I am aggressive and expansionist, but I honor most of my treaties and will tolerate other populations within my empire.
G+ Anyone who crosses me had better watch out. Don't think I won't bLast 200 million of your colonists into atoms if I have a good reason.
G I play a fairly neutral game. Peace is my goal, but if it comes down to war I won't be squeamish.
G- I will fight to defend myself, but I won't fire upon unarmed ships or civilian populations.
G-- I try to avoid bloodshed. Espionage and political manipulation are the tools of a skilled and civilized leader.

MICROMANAGEMENT
Mm+++ Micromanagement is my middle name. I want to control absolutely everything. I'm modding the program to enable me to control the underwear preferences of my fleet captains.
Mm++ I directly control every aspect of my empire. I just don't trust the AI ministers to do the job right.
Mm+ I control pretty much everything myself. I sometimes hand over a few simple, boring tasks to the ministers.
Mm I use the ministers quite a bit, but ultimately I am in control.
Mm- I let the ministers do most of the work; I intervene only in important matters.
Mm-- I turn the game over to complete AI control. I like being a figurehead.
Mm* I turn the game over to complete AI control. The challenge is in modding the AI to win.

FORUM USE
Bb++++ Shrapnel Games Intelligence Forums is the homepage on my browser. I check Messages every hour, on the hour. I am a crewmember of the Phong's Head. I want to be Ruler of the World.
Bb+++ I check the forums several times a day, and post often just to bump up my message count.

**Section 4: Legacy Codes from old SEIV code

TCP/IP
Tcp+++ Not satisfied with the old multiplayer system, I helped pioneer PBW.
Tcp++ I want TCP/IP play and I'm going to scweam and scweam until I get it!
Tcp+ TCP/IP would be neat, I dream of the day I can play tactical combat over the net.
Tcp If it was there I'd use it, but I'm quite happy with PBEM and PBW for now.
Tcp- What's all the fuss? Aaron's time would be better spent on other things.
Tcp-- TCP/IP heralds the death of strategy. If you want a realtime clickfest, go buy Quake or something.

4X LEGACY
L++++ In my day, computers were the size of houses and we had to play wargames with little lead figures and dice.
L+++ I've been playing 4X games since the days of steam computing. I remember when this was all asteroid fields...
L++ By the time SEII came out I was already a dedicated 4X fan.
L+ My first 4X game was SEII.

L- I played the demo before I bought SEIV. Does that count?
