Analyzing Ships for Tech
Can't seem to find this in the newbie FAQ.
When analyzing a ship for technology do you get all the techs leading up to the technology you analyze or just the technology under consideration? For example: If you capture a ship with point defense on it and analyze it and you have not researched either military science or point defense, will you get just point defense 1 or will you get Military science 1 and point defense 1 from analyzing the ship? Thanks for sparing me the time of setting this up in a simulation... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif [edited to remove confusing typo] [ June 01, 2003, 15:37: Message edited by: teal ] |
Re: Analyzing Ships for Tech
Only point defence 1. You get only tech that is listed as a requestive to the component in components.txt, Not the pre-requastive to the tech.
