Religious Talisman

If I have a Religious Talisman on a ship do I need combat sensors also.In other words do they add any extra to hit bonus's in this case?

All that the CS will do is provide a backup if the Talisman is destroyed. But, if the Talisman goes, the ship is likely to be destroyed or crippled in that round anyways.
