Could someone please to go http://www.proxomitron.org/ and tell me what those symbols mean in English?

I don't know any Japanese, but from the looks of the site I'd say either "Site under construction" or "Stare at this space and wait for something interesting to happen" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

how did you come across that site, anyway? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

That's totally bizzare Imperator, I use Proxomitron as a proxy ... but I never went to that web site, even though the program links to it. I got the program from here: web page which is at least a real page ... if written in Czech.

[EDIT] I don't read Czech, I have a small yellow fish in my ear http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

That is the official web site of Proxomitron (or was, as I do not know what the site is trying to tell me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif ).

Babel fish link

The translation is poor I'll grant you, but I get the jist of it -- it appears the site is down temporarily only, not lost for good.

I know I can get a machine-generated translation, but that is not what I wanted. I want a real translation. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Edit:

Babelfish tells me that the phrase says "It went away".

After looking around several Japanese-English Online dictionaries, and after I tried my best to comprehend it, I believe it says something along the lines of "On Hiatus; Thank you for your understanding.".

The Japanese characters say "kiema****a" which translates to "Disappeared".

I speak and read some Japanese, 2 years a university level, 25 years ago, damn I'm getting old, and lived and worked in Japan for about 4 years. I still am hopeless at it. So much for my lame credentials. Anyway:

I think the best current translation of that would be "vanished" past tense. Or, perhaps, more lightly, "Poofed" as in suddenly disappeared, like magic.
