Re: Some of these short phrases
TDM : Excellent modpack that upgrades all the standard AIs and adds several new races. The name is the initials of its creators (Talenn-Devnullicus-Mephisto, I think).
PnN : Pirates & Nomads mod, by Suicide Junkie. Allows you to create a nomad race (lives almost entirely on ships and bases; planets are optional) or a pirate race (same as nomads, but must capture enemy ships to drive their economy). Fun to play. Neo Standard : I would like an explanation on this one myself, especially if there is a difference between Neo and Neo ++. I would also like to add a question of my own. I know all about QNP, but what is mQNP ? |

Re: Some of these short phrases
Among other possibilities, TGA stands for Targa, a graphic format.

Re: Some of these short phrases
Targa is IIRC a common graphics format for Apple programs.
And by the way, TDM stands for Tampa Gamer-Daynarr-Mephisto, the 3 original authors of the mod. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif [ June 23, 2003, 19:20: Message edited by: Imperator Fyron ] |

Re: Some of these short phrases
Thanks for all the prompt answers. Now there's one thing that still isn't clear for me : what does '++' mean ? It is usually mentioned in conjunction with the Neo Standard expansion, but what does it mean ? (I just checked Dogscoff's Neostandard site and couldn't find the answers there).

Re: Some of these short phrases
++ is the increment operator in the programming language C
In terms of the neostandard, it refers to a larger Version or "expansion pack" sort of thing. [ June 24, 2003, 14:03: Message edited by: Suicide Junkie ] |
