satellite strategies
 

Can anyone please tell me how I set strategies for Satellite Groups?

I see there is an option to choose one in the design screen, but I have seen some options that I can't choose there, like which ships to attack first (strongest ship, etc)... come to think of it, I don't know how to set this kind of strategy for fleets either (just formation and weapon range)...

help?

Sats don't move, and are in one big stack, so only the targetting priorities are of any use for them.

You can set strategies for fleets using the Chess Pawn icon on the right hand side of the lower row of order icons.

When editing strategies there should be an arrow box to click just below the list of targetting priorities...
Click that and a window will pop up with a list of options... you click four times to choose the four priorities.

thanks for the reply, but still having no luck finding where I edit the strategies... what exactly do I need to click?

Empire options (Crown), then Strategies.

You can also set targeting priorities for a unit design in the design window.

That's where I give fighters the priority to attack other fighters in order to make interceptors, for example.

You can also edit strategies by clicking the "Strategies" button in the Simulator.

hmmm, lots of satalites in here but no Grial,.. oh well, the quest continues...
