Re: PBeM game length (in real time)?

Probably a tournament of some type. I am trying to determine average 20 Turn PBeM turnaround time so I can plan accordingly. In previous attempts I have found some it frequently gets dragged out...

Old Multiplayer Campaign - Blast from the past!

Wow! I was researching some of the old multiplayer tournaments I had run to see what format was better suited to actually have it run through to the end. During that research I came across this one I...

Re: PBeM game length (in real time)?

In most cases it takes me about 30 days at the most depending on any RL issues that may pop up. Usually closer to 20 though.

PBeM game length (in real time)?

Just curious, for those that play PBeM for fairly small Company+ battles on about 40x40 maps.

How long do your games usually take in real time to complete based on a 20 Turn game? I am...

Re: Newbie Needs Help Deploying Units

I've never seen that before but I don't use auto-deploy too often in the Editor. Are you able to deploy them manually?

Re: WinSPMBT v4.5 Tourney Players

I have found most players prefer to just play PBeM among themselves or against the AI. Most tournaments, etc involve long term committments and many end up having RL issues interfere, myself...

Re: vs AI Tournament - Mission #1

Yes, I had several people IM me that they wanted to jump so I extended the rounds time frame but only 1 or 2 have finished the battle and sent me the files. I thinks its 5 now. I have all the results...

Re: WinSPMBT v4.5 Tourney Players

Maybe due to Vista? Not sure what OS the others were running though. I can't remember but were we running it in extra secure mode? If so, any oddities will kill it rather quickly. Were the other guys...

Re: Silver Lions II - Preview

Going really slow right now. RL making a big dent due to work and family. Progress is continuing but extremely slow atm. :(

Re: SPII Maps to SPMBT?

That may be with the old DOS version of the game. Not sure it still works with the newest Windows compatible version. I would say download the latest Fred Chlanda program and give it a try.

Re: Is there a successor to the dead Yahoo Groups?

I think all the main discussions are now here, with maybe some still going on at the Blitz (http://www.theblitz.org/message_boards/forumdisplay.php?fid=14) and World at War...

Re: Where are the New Scenarios Hiding?

I think thats about it. All of the ones I have done (campaigns) are uploaded there no matter if I post them in other places so you can get everything I have done from there. I think Wulfir uploads...

Re: "Nationalized" OOB's

I'll have to think a little before voting on this one. While it would be nice for it to be "easier" to immediately know what is what, I prefer the more historical terminology. This may be due my...

Re: vs AI Tournament - Mission #1

Post away!

I am finishing up my battle for the 2nd Mission so once done I'll set up the next mission's operations order and send out the files.

Re: Russian Designers ? ?

I used to be a hard core SPWaWH2H player. Something about that version just clicked with me. Its the only SPWAW version I played for many, many years. I think the last time played any SPWaW was...

Re: Russian Designers ? ?

Alot has to do with the level of detail. Most times it becomes overly complex as many of the harder core players want more detail which keeps their interest up BUT I believe also drives away the more...

Re: Russian Designers ? ?

What I think would be really cool would be a Warsaw Pact perspective campaign that uses the same maps that Marek made for the Silver Lions II campaign.

Re: Russian Designers ? ?

I know myself and probably few others would be willing to help out in that regard. I'd mainly like to see the storyline they develop and how they put the campaign together.

Russian Designers ? ?

Hey! When are some of you guys going to design a campaign or 2? Would be nice to see something designed from that perspective.

EDIT: That includes those of you from the former Soviet Union.

Re: the best ways to use US Army against Russia

The F14 was retired from active duty back in late 2006. As far as I know only the Iranians still use them.

Re: vs AI Tournament Concept

Thats what I am thinking. The other one, using WinSPMBT, is going well but tracking the units damages and other information in the level of detail I am is kinda slowing things down.
