Horrors in not adequate numbers have problems against some archer-heavy PD.

Sauromatian PD is good against them - cavalry with lances.

Horrors are not Poison immune either. Did I mention...

The fear effect of horrors still works against undeads with "lower" morale. Like Vampires.

That surprised me too. 5 of them with F9W9(N4) bless was pretty effective, and the Elementals could not trample them due to high defense. So I did not have to bother with Rings of Warning and devil...

Of course you can hang fetishes on already diseased researchers equipped with shrouds for no extra cost.

My fetish commanders has names like 47 or FF47, indicating the turn (47) when the fetish...

Problem is that Fever Fetish needs those N gems, and if you are constrained by such clams are better option. Of course you could just alchemize 3N from 12F.
Compared to that, a clam cost 28 astral...

There's a relatively large SEV community playing PBEM, or was until the PBEM server crashed. Last time I checked there was a new server running, so...

In one game I had a diseased Jag warrior, and detached him from the army into the province. 20 or so turns after I was surprised seeing the jag still there, but healed up without disease.

Actually, unrest hurts. It forces you to patrol your capital continuously (or lower taxes) and/or recruit less of your capital-only thugs and giant troops initially.
