Depends on the stage of the game, I guess. Later on, it's not much harder to raid unfortified temples anywhere on the map, than on your borders.
It also depends whether you're trying a dominion...

Even if the map files terrains don't match the picture, they should match what is displayed for province terrain. Not the map picture, but the icons in the province section.

Yes. The only thing a Jade Knife changes is that it allows you to sacrifice 2 more slaves. The mechanics work just like regular blood sacrifice, which works just like 2 regular temple checks for each...

Actually, for Abysia, a little Fire, along with the more useful Death, gives you Flaming Skulls, which will also let you get the F4 booster. Access to primary path boosters is worth a few pretender...

The warhammer mods certainly could be argued to be derivative works, of both dominions and Warhammer. That doesn't make them public domain. If anything, it makes them copyright infringement....

In fairness, thunderstrike is less useful in SP than MP. It's small area and fatiguing, while the AI tends to use large hordes of chaff rather than smaller armies of better units.
