Great idea on the emergency propulsion/supply. Now if they can only figure a way to remove it from the ship after use it will be used as intended.

I think if weapons platforms, sats and space ships are available at start then troops have probably been discovered by then too. They should be included at the start.

Yes, adding race specific ships is a great thing. I have added some types to my Pirate race and have found they add a lot to the game.
It would be neat to design special hulls for the racial traits...
