What i do is this:

1. Install SE4
2. Apply latest patch
3. Install TDM Mod
4. Instal FQM Mod
-> Copy files from fqm dirs to the tdm mod directories.
5. Install the image mod needed for FQM...

1) stronger AI. i like singe player very much so this needs work. maybe even a special mode where the choices are limited (limited tech, full resources and so on) so that the ai doesn't have to much...

If i were to play against humans, i would choose finite because it's more realistic. Against TDM races i always choose infinite resources otherwise the AI is to much weakened by this.

28 and just became father of a son ( 22nd of december 2002)
on a sidenote: my first 'puter was an amstrad amiga 128K. i think it operated on cmos or something.

i had the same question a week or 2 ago.
i simply copied the quadrant mod into TDM but
kept the original formations.txt and all problems where solved.
