Re: Checking interest for a large(ish) scale game.

I appreciate your concerns, and your advise, as I recognize you as a vet player.

I would like to clarify a few points regarding my position on desiring to play a game with higher than average...

Re: Checking interest for a large(ish) scale game.

I've been doing some testing, and I edited the OP and tweaked some of the settings in hopes of appealing to a few more players. The changes are marked in color.

- 25 provinces per player;...

Re: The Good, the Bad intermediates and the Ugly noobs (Running)

Everybody is so quiet. We must all be thinking really hard about how to crush each other huh?

Re: Checking interest for a large(ish) scale game.

Yes, I have noticed that most players favor less provinces; which is why I am curious to see if there are any other players interested in larger scale games.

From my gaming background, I don't...

Checking interest for a large(ish) scale game.

Hi. The reason I am posting this tread is to see who, if anyone would like to start up a game based around these parameters:

Game parameters:

Number of players: However many players want to...

Re: For better or worse - Single Age - Teamplay - Recruiting

That would be a fantastic idea for a mod!

Basically the only way to work as a team currently is to simply make a binding diplomatic agreement at the start of the game.

However, I can see where...

Re: The Good, the Bad intermediates and the Ugly noobs (Running)

This game is unbearably slow for me as it is. Seems whatever the timer is set to, it always seems to take (timer - ~2hous) long to complete a turn. And it's been this way since turn 3. :(

Re: The Good, the Bad intermediates and the Ugly noobs (Running)

If you wish to prove your goodwill, then your decision should be fairly simple.

For if we are to live by your logic (quoted above) then Ulm should without doubt claim your entire country as...

Re: The Good, the Bad intermediates and the Ugly noobs (Running)

Nieflhiem made a mistake. Obviously.

However, so did you with your planned eastern (warmongering) assault of the great nation of Ulm.

Everyone makes mistakes sometimes.

You have been...

Re: The Good, the Bad intermediates and the Ugly noobs (Running)

The Caelum empire will temporarily halt operations against Abysia, to allow time for your peoples to consider the errors of their warmongering ways.

We stand with our Ulm allies demands for a...

Re: The Good, the Bad intermediates and the Ugly noobs (Running)

Caelum's heroic warriors were undefeated in all 5 of their attacks on your provinces. And that was less than 5% of my army. (and yes, those were some of my weaker units, and none of my glorious...

Re: Power Beyond Comprehension aka "My power is still raising!" newbie game - Open

I sent a PM to Drago yesterday letting him know that I will not be playing in this one, and asking that my pretender be removed. I guess the message didn't get received.

Figured I'd let you know...

Re: The Good, the Bad intermediates and the Ugly noobs (Running)

I believe Niff. has suffered enough now. As if their kingdoms starting location was not enough already.

The Caelum empire expects for the armies that are assaulting Niefelheim to back away from...

Re: Power Beyond Comprehension aka "My power is still raising!" newbie game - Prepari

Whew, thanks. I never played that map either but after looking at it I agree that it is way too small. Personally I like the idea of something that would average 20-25 lands per player.

Re: Power Beyond Comprehension aka "My power is still raising!" newbie game - Recruit

I am neutral on the graphs. As for the map, I favor a large one.

Re: The Good, the Bad intermediates and the Ugly noobs (Running)

I'm ok with aborting this game. My position seems fine, but it looks like the overall interest for this match is low already, and it's only turn 8.

Re: The Good, the Bad intermediates and the Ugly noobs (Running)

Perhaps not everyone understands that there can be more than one turn completed per day, so long as everyone turns in a turn?
