It is not unique to master enslave, that is true, but the defender advantage is pretty big.. and is magnified the later in the game that it gets.

Counterspells? The only spells mentioned either rely on a preemptive strike or are can be too late to do much..

So the primary, and just about only, defense against master enslave is to proactively and send spells and troops out to kill any opposing mage who can case the spell?

Whenever a good event happens to decrease unrest the population increases by 10 for every point of unrest the reduction would take that province below 0.

I did go and run another test game.. 4 keeps on 4 different terrain types and recruited 50 revelers on each.. at the end there were 22 with +1 nature and 5 with +1 blood total but the distribution...

She only has 2 misc slots, so she isnt much of a SC chassie, although she is fun.

I try to always play with full luck scales.. but I've noticed that the only time I ever get the random blood caster for pythium is when magic is at 3, otherwise I've never seen the guy.

Is there a way to tell which heroes are possible based on which scales?

I ask because I've played a number of games with Pythium on different scales and I've always gotten Pontifex serpentus...

While still having more than one head the hydra has 100% regen.. with a nature bless they are above 100% (I've had them say that they are regenerating 7 hp per turn when they only have 6 hp).
